A New Direction For A Brighter Future

Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home has served the community for 118 years but, as our organization has evolved, so too have the ways we make a difference to those we serve. In order to better present our services, we are proud to announce that we are changing our name to Cumberland Youth and Family Services. Our story has been rooted in the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination since day one, and we will always be honored by their support.

“Cumberland is nothing like it used to be, but everything it’s always been”

— Board Chairman Brian Martin

A Fitting Logo For A New Name

We chose the symbolism of a tree in our new logo because of how it relates to our services and residents. There are many trees with powerful healing properties, which is a sign of God’s provision for us and our everlasting prosperity. The ancient symbol of the Tree has been found to represent physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation and liberation. They are seen as powerful symbols of growth, the kind we like to see in our residents and community.

Make A Difference By Donating Today.

The scope of the need for youth in foster care and single-parent families is much greater than most realize. In the U.S. alone, there were more than 424,000 youth in foster care in 2020. 36% of those are between the ages of 11-18, the age group most commonly served by our agency. Be a hero for those we serve by donating today so we can transform lives forever, together.
